National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

Appalachian participates in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) on a 3-year cycle. NSSE provides valuable data to many areas on campus about how students spend their time, their involvement in high impact practices and their perceptions about the environment at Appalachian. The NSSE provides benchmarking data on how student engagement at Appalachian compares to student engagement at peer and other institutions. For more information on NSSE, visit their website: http://nsse.indiana.edu/.

Graduating Senior Survey

Until 2018, Appalachian was required to administer surveys of graduating seniors and to report these findings to the UNC System as part of a system-wide analysis that informed decision making across all UNC campuses. IRAP continues to administer a graduating senior survey but, with the help of an advisory group, has changed the questions on the survey to fit the data needs of various departments. Please contact us with any questions or special requests regarding the senior survey.
