Budget Presentations

Information regarding the 2020 Budget Presentations adjusted format is coming soon.

On April 22, 2016, Appalachian held it's first annual day of budget presentations. The campus community was invited to attend or live-video stream any or all of the presentations.

The ultimate goal of budget presentations is twofold.

First, divisions (Chancellors Office, Academic Affairs, Business Affairs, Student Development, Athletics and Advancement), degree granting units and the Library, share their respective unit academic year accomplishments connected to the strategic plan and make recurring budget funding requests to underwrite future needs identified in their unit planning processes. Secondly, the budget presentations provide budget transparency to the entire campus and enable university leadership to plan for resource allocation over the next 1-3 years.

The budget presentations are connected to, and dovetail with, the Institutional Effectiveness Cycle (IE) which includes periodic comprehensive reviews. For example, colleges who have completed their periodic comprehensive review may utilize their implementation plans to assist with their budget presentations.
